Gender Empowerment-10 emerging issues..

A lot has been written and talked about women empowerment. People see just one side of the coin, have they ever thought what our MEN go through because of this.

Lets see 10 common problems due to rising focus on women empowerment-

1) The increasing demand for female reservation in Parliament. The men feel that the ever confined BHABHIS, BAHUS, BETIS will show their raula now. Also, everybody knows hat parliament stands for high decibel levels and there are very few Smriti Iranis in the country.

2) The men in Rajasthan feel discriminated as the women have got 30% concession in Sarkari buses. This has another side to it- the ever confined BHABHIS, BAHUS, BETIS have started going to their MAAYKA more often.

3) The increasing viewership of youtube channels like GIRLIYAPA in which the quintessential character wali ladkiyan are abusing like men. The men are fearful that the ever confined BHABHIS, BAHUS, BETIS will turn their homes into LOC.

4) Indian People have always been risk averse quite visible from their love for gold and hate of equity. They have always liked FD's (Fixed Deposits) rather than RD's (Recurring deposits). Now, with increasing female participation rate in labour, DOWRY will supposedly come down which eventually will lead to a reduction in our FD's and as said above we dont give a fuck about RD's (female's monthly income).

5) Their is another point being raised these days- that of quantification in terms of money of domestic work done by our BHABHIS, BAHUS & BETIS. Now just imagine, wont it equate them with the BAI. Can a MAN who considers his mother, sister and wife to be like godesses, allow them to be put into the same category of a domestic worker.

6) IMF says that our GDP would rise  by 27% if gender parity in work is achieved. Yaar but wont that make our EDUCATED guys run around for jobs more. And everybody knows that our guys are much more literate in terms of number. It eventually could also turn out in our guys sittin at home and the ever confined BHABHIS, BAHUS, BETIS going to work. Just imagine the plight of our young male engineer.

7) Another discrimnation which our guys feel is due to the new MATERNITY BILL. It provides 26 weeks of paid holiday to a pregnant women, infact makes it a right. On the other hand, it just provides our men with 15 days paternity leave. Everybody knows how concerned our society and men are towards the female's health when she is pregnant. The men want to contribute by doing all the daily chores and serving their wife during that time. But this bill is highly demoralising.
Another logic being that due to MEN only the women is getting pregnant and getting all those facilities, but our poor MAN is getting a shithole.

8) Another disturbing feature is UPSC's obsession with WOMEN in essays. Our men are the primary breadwinners for the family, dont they deserve some amount of attention from the apex recruiting body of the country.

9) Bihar Government has made reservation for women in JUDICIARY. It is being appreciated and demands for its replication in other states are also being made. But how can it be expected that our so efficient and time saving judiciary will be able to deliver JUSTICE with more women being on board. Everybody knows that where women take charge, efficiency takes a dip. For ex-IT industry.

10) The societal attitude is also discriminating. Warna Bajirao kya aise pagal hoke mara tha jaisa Bajirao Mastani movie mein dikhaya tha, lekin Rani Padmini ko thoda dance karte huye dikha diya to problem ho gayi. There is no equal society for Men now.

If this continues for long then the day is not far away when MEN would break the glass ceiling and demand for their empowerment. Let us try our level best to make sure the day never comes and for the betterment of the society the age old STATUS QUO is maintained.

  1. Women empowerment is making some men feel insure because of the government reservation. I wonder if you have same compliant for the SC ST reservation. Being a women, all the problems I have faced throughout my life I feel if the government is taking some step towards women empowerment rather than criticising it and saying ‘do something for men too’ which is totally immature start appreciating it.
Let me just clarify you accordingly.
    1. Reservation in parliament: There are a lot of Smiriti Irani out there who have dreams of being independent and to contribute for the betterment of society but they are being compressed and stopped then and there. Now the families instead of making there BHAIYA JAMAI and BETA fight for election, for a change are preparing the women to be on that platform (may be because of less competition).
    2. Concession on government busses: The man have always complaint that after marriage their expenses have increase because they now have to pay for two tickets instead of one, so this step has helped men indirectly. A girl leave her whole life behind after marriage which is not a small sacrifice (if you disagree try to be a ghar jamai). I am sure going more often to the MAYKAA will be a problem to anyone except you(us) who will not get food for some days.
    3. I am sure that because of GIRLIYAPA the viewership of other channel like AIB, Harsh Beniwal, etc. has not came down. I believe no one should use abusive language but then they say “bencho is not a gali”.
    4. …………
I have answer for every point you have mentioned but don’t want to waste more time. I suggest you to come out of the books and see the reality of the world. Just observe how the women are treated even in the 21st Century. It is important to bring equality. Appreciating the women for the compromises they have made is not enough, we will have to give them chance to come forward and make them believe that equality is not just in the books and policies but also in the real life.
We are not deteriorating anything, we just want to feel equal and want chance to prove that we are not less than anyone.
Learn to obey the rules so that you can make a better place to live.

    1. Hey minakshi.

Dont you realise that it is a sarcasm.
I am on the same side as you but sayin things in a ordinary manner isnt always the best thing. To catch the reader's eye, you need to be innovative and different.

Even then if u think i was wrong in any manner, then apologies from my side.
